AuthorTopic: Model-E not authentic

I know this information is a little dated but I'd thought I'd share to maybe warn others who think their getting something authentic.
As someone who used to own a real minimoog I've been looking forward to getting a model-e for sometime. I finally did today and GADZOOKS they totally balls up the glide function, making it the wrong type (equal time instead of constant rate). If vintage glide type solos are your thing this totally stuffs the instruments use in this way and gives the model-e a completely unauthentic character in this regard. Looks like back to the Pro52 since NI got it right in that synth - so I can't see any excuse. Such a pity 'cos the sound is pretty spot on. No review has ever mentioned this stuff up before.
Boy am I pissed. No wonder there's warez.

Most of the reviews I've read said so. The sound is pretty damn close to mine. If it wasn't for the glide the model-e would be very authentic.

Pentagon 1 is the one and the only one.

I didn't think it was actually an emulation?

I think maybe it was supposed to be an emulation. When it was first announced at NAMM (I think) they made a big deal about having Robert Moog check it out and give it his blessing.

At the moment, I think the best vsti emulation out there is the PPG.

The glide on the Pentagon and on the Triangle is awesome - nice and long too. Check out the Triangle as its free.

It's not a vsit, e.g. it's going to be actual hardware, but it would be interesting to hear your opinion on the new Moog Voyager when that finally comes out. Supposed to be the new Mini that RM's Big Briar is coming out with.
