hy
does someone know why i cant use ASIO in reaktor 3 (but i can use it in cubase and fruity which i have).on win-xp
only the soundcard option is enabled and on that reaktor crashes like hell.......so unusable
any help would be apreciated

Does your sound card have asio drivers ?

its a SB Live Value.......i think it has ASIO
because cubase works great on my machine..
any help??

No! SB live has no ASIO drivers
Cubase 5.0 has ASIO drivers but I think
they only work for Cubase.
You can improve on this by installing the
modified APS drivers for lower latency.
To use Reaktor stand alone with SB live
select sound card instead of ASIO in Reaktor
and select MME driver then set both the
read ahead settings to 125

While not an answer to the original poster, you should note that your VSTi (Reaktor in this case) uses the ASIO drivers that Cubase uses... Whatever settings you have in Reaktor standalone are not used when used as a VSTi.
