i just got in Akai sample disk from Pro Rec for s1000 . i am using it with Halion without any problems and sound quality is very good as well.
it's really worth getting Halion if You thinking of buying a sampler.

Halion works good for me. It's stable, easy to use and loads a lot of formats and most stuff is imported really good. I imported a lot of disks and only three had minor problems. I can recommend it.
