AuthorTopic: Drum sound needed

Hi,

I need a certain kind of drum sound, particularly the snare sound. I am looking for the kind of drum sound you hear on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, or Air's Virgin Suicides. It is a close-mic'd, big, snappy snare sound that gives sort of a retro 70's feel. Does anyone know where I can find a drum kit like this? Any format will do - wav files, soundfont, LM4 etc. I always just extract the wav files and load into RMIII.

Thanks!

Yeah, I agree, I would love to have access to these sounds. A challenge then to everyone out there in KVR land, find some sounds like this please!!!!!

Also, any resources on the net to explain how to program decent Synth drum sounds. All mine sound like C**p. Those who entered the Maximus comp all sounded great and I am sooooo envious. Please, any advice out there?

In case anyone is interested, I found the drum sounds I was looking for (pretty close anyway). The kit to use is the Wizoo "Basic" kit which is one of the kits that came with the original LM4.

Cheers.
