Hi djmal. Welcome to kvr. I must say you've made an excellant choice of host software and instruments. Now to your question. If you mean that you want to turn off the oscillator(synth sound)and play just using the sample osc then that's easy, just go to the top left-hand corner of the display and click on the little "led" button labeled osc so that it's not lit up.
Good luck on writing your tunes. [Wink]

Hi,

Yeah, just turn the analog osc off by unchecking the blue light right above Track at the top. Then you'll just get the sound of the sample.

A bit more limited than a soft sampler, but it's not designed to really be a sampler, just a synth that can use a sample as an osc.

Regards,

Kenfen

Hi All,
Just turning from hardware to software. Must I say I am now making some great tracks with softsynths that I could never produce with my hardware (SP808, RM1X and CS1X).

I currently use

Orion Pro, FM7, Pro 52, Reaktor. Junglist and CronoX.

I must say the CronoX rocks. I love the way you can add wavs also. What I am really after is a soft sampler that can manipulate the sample. A bit like the Reason sampler. Can I manipulate voices on the CronoX without having the synth sound also? I think I did it once but cannot remember how I did it?

it is unfortunate for us Mac user that,
CronoX is pc only(right now,at least?)

but it is unfortunate for you pc guys that "aiffplayer"(its a VSTi)is Mac only.

its a granluar sampler,
probably kontakt will be of better quality/flexibility,.

but whenever i need to do Vp-9000'esque stuff(altering a vocal line fro example).

i call up this Vsti(that the author "kuniox" gave to me free of charge)

for putte(well maybe not since you've got Melodyne, lucky putte [Embarrassed] )
