OK, i got the EVP73, but I've found that it plays only in tune if it's 44.1kHz.
It's -1.47 lower if it's played at 48kHz. Any1 else realise this problem? There's nothing/no updates on emagic site... (Please don't ask me to use 44.1k to fix this, cos i have to use 48k for a professional reason).

quote:What sound card you using? if your sampling rates are different like that, they will play out of tune... You will need to make sure all your apps and soundcards run at the same frequency... No 2 ways about it...

I am not saying I play it at 44.1k. I'm saying it doesn't work properly in 48k.
I use Hammerfall 9652 and i really don't think it's my hardware. Everything runs at 48kHz, nearly all other VSTi's have no tuning problem. (The old JunoX also has the same problem but Michael & Feilei fixed that in JunoX2. Also very 1st version of Battery has this problem, but not very noticeable with drums. NI also fixed it in the update) I just want to see if any real EVP73 users can try & see if the tuning has problems with 48k or not. Hmm... Surely I cannot be the only one...

I experienced the same with a M-Audio Delta DiO 2496, but I didn't notice it before because I always use 44.1 kHz.
Anyway, is it an option to record just the EVP73 track to audio in 44.1 kHz and change the frequency of the audio piece to 48 kHz in Wavelab or Cool Edit? This way you can use the EVP72 track in 48 kHz with the correct pitch. A bit of a PITA, but if it's for just one track it may work. And don't call me Shirley. :-) Ruud quote:

Hi
I too came across this problem as I run Cubase at 48k in conjunction with an ADAT setup. My Solution: Create a preset with the appropriate tuning for correct pitch and/or add a transposition value in inspector so you can play the parts in the correct key. |
