Anyone out there getting the links to work? I tried and failed. Pity since, depending on price, they both look like a juicy bit of kit.

well ... I can't get them working in Orion ... They lock the system up hard. Anybody else?

| jdg | Posted: 19th March 2002 02:36 |
yes they cause cubase VST to exit faster than fast... ![]()

Yep, Orion just died on me when i tried the demo.

It even crashes Synthedit! Somebody better go back to the drawing board. I'm going back to my beer.
| TheWall | Posted: 19th March 2002 06:16 |
It doesn't crash on me with Orion Pro, yet the cpu meter shows an outrageous number more than 300%.
Of course, no sound except clicking can be heard...

I got a nasty test-tone type of sound that wouldn't stop. Since Synthedit has no panic button that I know of, the best way to shut down a stuck note is to delete the VSTi module. This is when Synthedit crashes. Hope the developers of Trionic are reading this. Looks like we're their beta testers (unpaid, of course).

E-mailed Axxeom to try to direct them to this forum to inform them of the problems with their products and summarized the problems anyway. It's crap like this that discourages hardware users from taking the leap of faith into the virtual world.

I got immediate lockups here with Orion and Cubase. I emailed em. I hope they sort it out.....

Strange, they both work in Cubase here ?!?!
| MArmstrong | Posted: 19th March 2002 18:24 |
These erratic crashes must be the bain of programmers lives, I think I am the only person who can't seem to get Cyber or Synthetic II to work. Damn shame to because they seem great. I also can't get the Axxeom vstis to work.

- cyber and synthetic ARE great - and working fine for me in orion and bidule - if you have real problems try mailing jorgen - hes usually pretty helpful [and a nice guy too] - he lurks around here quite a bit too[look for the M] so he might see your post anyway

Well it seems Trionic now crashes Cubase ![]()
| pikacu5 | Posted: 19th March 2002 19:04 |
I can get Trionic to work in Cubase 5 but cant get a sound out of Lupah, Trionic also gives me nasty crashes in Fruity, roll on v1.1 ![]()

- nice sig . . . | |
| Mr. Tunes | Posted: 19th March 2002 20:59 |
eeek!
this is not a great way to build momentum for your product! Lupah looks cool, but I think companies should try to prevent disasters like this BEFORE they send out the press release
| cubic | Posted: 20th March 2002 08:31 |
Okay, had a short run with bot in Psycle :
- no crashes there
- BUT also no output
Otherwise I can only say that I don't like the interfaces that much...
| Ian B | Posted: 20th March 2002 10:07 |
I can load both in Cubase 5.1 but as soon as I try to load a sample in Lupah,c-r-a-s-h big time.
Pity,as I like the idea.

no problem running in Freebase ( http://www.smartelectronix.com/~arguru/ ) ... when you use Freebase ... it's a cool testing tool for VSTis!
| bluebus | Posted: 20th March 2002 21:30 |
Another one from the "don't work" group.
Cubase reports them both crashing on initialization.
| BONES | Posted: 21st March 2002 00:00 |
I got TRIONIC to run in ORION. It took a few attempts to get any sound from it and when I did it sounded like it was clipping very badly ALL the time. Also, it timed-out on me after only a few minutes, not the 10 minutes it's supposed to give.
It looks pretty clever and if it did what it was supposed to so it would be great. |
