Spent all morning trying to decide which new synth to get. Options were JunoX2, JXsynth or Tau Pro, ended up getting JunoX2, although i havent recieved it yet.
Then i just have a quick look here and see the JX has been "slashed in price". DOH! Never mind, maybe i'll get both. [Smile]

Well out of the three I like Tau Pro the best. I love that synth.

However, out of the JXSynth and JunoX2 I definitely prefer JXSynth. I know a lot of people really like the JunoX2 but I could never get past the idea that it was some annoying toy - Although it has got a large array of waveforms of a fairly unusual variety.

JXSynth I think is much better as an instrument although it's gone quite a while without an update. I never had much luck in getting the most out of it though.

Now Bones will probably tell you that they're both fantastic, but that's probably just because they begin with 'J'.

Just kidding. [Big Grin]

i have tau pro and i think i only used it once or twice in the last three or four months. i got it for bass, but the junglist wins that battle anyday. the jxsynth was a real cpu hog, but for only $25 i think i may just pick it up. amaing sound.

Couldn't have thought of a better topic myself! When I first got JunoX I thought that it would be a serious contender for JX SYNTH's crown but I very quickly found that it is not quite so ballsy. JunoX is much nastier though and generally a lot more fun to experiment with. In the end, however, nothing excites me more than finding another song to use that awesome JX SYNTH "Lead" sound in.
