AuthorTopic: fm7 "easy" editor questions

The "easy" editor is like an "analogue" way of editing the fm synthesis...
this is a great feature but what i don't understand is why , when you save the preset obtained, the fm7 automatically applies the "easy" editing so when yo load again the preset the "easy" page is completed resetted and you don't have any way to understand how you reached that sound and eventually step back...
if you save the preset with cubase (complete song or vst preset) on the contrary the "easy" editing aren't saved at all...

so the only way to manage the easy editing is to write down on a note the editing made and then save the vst preset or just save the fm7 single sound and then forget about stepping back or understanding...

any suggestions..?

Actually you don't create new sounds when you use easy editing, it's rather a way to make a sound fit to an song or your own taste without getting deep into FM -programming but it's still based on an existing patch. That function is also good for controlling the sound since you can assign those easy edit parameters to controllers by using the learn function.

What you could do is creating a mixer map and controlling those changes with your sequencer...
