AuthorTopic: A Strange VST Dream I Had ...
digitalstruggle

So this morning I had a really strange dream. I dreamt that I was checking kvr-vst like I usually do (websurfing even in my dreams, pathetic, I know) and that some new plugins had come out that I was really excited about.

One of them was called "Atom Jack" and it was like one of those multipurpose effects boxes with automation and everything. It had distortions, delays, phasers, flangers, reverbs, some strange new effects, and some kind of modular backend structure. Really nice interface, too.

The other plugin was "SomatOhm" ... a fictional new offering from OhmForce. I remember being so excited about that one. I remember it having some distortion on it but it wasn't just another PredatOhm or anything like that. It made things sound really cool ... but it isn't any kind of effect I can think of.

Just thought I'd share. [Smile]

Now you're are frightening, I have never dreamed about somthing so technical, are you sure you did actually dream this? it sounds good for a dream, but forget that (lol) a dream come true for me would be a VST for (80s style) fretless bass emulation becuause there isn't one around YET!

What's even more pathetic is me actually reading that post all the way through.

A soft-synth dream come true for me would simply be a complete Minimoog emulation *sigh*

I once had a dream that I got to play with this synth that takes up an entire room, and it was yellow and kind of resembled T-Racks.

This year I met a mixing engineer at a nightclub, and he has some vintage Yamaha synth that takes up an whole desk or whatever, so I'm going to play it this year and find out if it was the synth of my dreams

Synth/effect dreams are great - you never want to leave them because you know the device you dream about doesn't exist and it's the one chance of your life to play it.
