AuthorTopic: Human whistle in Pentagon?

I'm trying to create a 'human whistle' instrument patch in Pentagon (or Triangle). I don't mean the "yo, c'me over here" -type, but as if someone were whistling a tune.

I *think* I figured out some of the basics, i.e. I start with a pure Sine, and have a little noise added just in the beginning (which is ran through a separate env, with very short ADSR), and make judicious use of delay and reverb, but I am running out of ideas for the rest - especially nailing down the right ADSR combo for the 'main' Sine wave. [Confused]

Any ideas/suggestions would be sincerely appreciated! Also, do you think I'm on the right track with the above?

Thanks,

Hi,

Does this help? (p1).

Cheers,

Oh, René, THANK YOU! It's almost perfect!

On a related note... [Frown] You've just given me a HUGE inferiority complex! I've been working on this all day, and you come about and whip it up in... what? fifteen minutes? IT IS NOT FAIR! People like you should stay away from music, to give us, more mediocre folks, a decent chance... [Wink]

Oh, well, at least I got the noise & the sine right.

Thank you again, René, you ARE the man!

duh [Mad] repeat with me: "I'll read p1's manual" [Wink]

Slight pitch env down-to-up into attack, pitch lfo with fade-in, sine, small damped noise.

Cheers,
René

Read it? I even PRINTED it, and even bound it (plastic spine and all)! But, y'know, you need to *understand* how sound works - 'tis not enough just to memorize the jargon... [Wink] But I'm getting there, slowly but surely, like the proverbial snail across the highway... [Embarrassed]
