Can you do monophonic slide (auto
portamento) in Halion? You know
like guitar slide in ATB's 9... till
I come etc. blah blah and many other
tracks.... I would like to be
able to play samples like a monophonic
analog synth. It's so cool sometimes!

Set the number of voices to 1 and then use the glide knob. As easy as that. [Big Grin]

er... i know that... i was wondering
if you can set up legato portamento:
if you hit a key while still holding the
prevoius, you hear portamento. if you
released the previous key, there is
no portamento. do you get it now?

Er...I guess not.

I think the "Glide" is as close as you can get in HALion.

What does the manual say?

HALion doesn't have the legato/portamento facility - even though Tobi whatsisface assured me it was and later pretended he didn't know what I meant when I asked the same question in the run up to its release.
However, it was a favourite requested feature to be added on a recent cnet thread.
Apparently the Kontakt has the whole thing.
