Mars Music had the lowest price anywhere I could find for Reaktor, but you had to email them for the price (349.95US). Well, I just checked their site, and it's only showing for the mac, but you could call and see.

the musicians-gear.com thing is confusing... they seem to have a lot of steinberg products listed twice, one listing at half the price of the other with 'full version' after the product name. It's probably some kind of translation error (because I can't see anybody paying twice the price for a demo version)... does anybody know what the catalogue's on about?

quote: quote:Jake Mandell is a Native Instruments product manager , I don't think he would tell porkies like that on his own forum ,do you ? The release of Absynth was iminent anyway and I also saw somewhere that someone had an email from Brian Clevenger that Absynth was now in production at the factory ![]()
| echorec | Posted: 18th April 2002 21:34 |
which reads ...
"OK, here's where things stand. Absynth PC took a weensie bit longer than expected, but it went to the factory a few days ago. Over the next couple of weeks finishing up 1.3 Mac is the only thing I'll be working on. I really shouldn't give dates, even if it's just a month name, it's easy to get over optimistic with predictions, but there's always something unexpected around the corner. But I do promise it won't be much longer. Cheers, Brian" ![]()

Yeah, well I'll believe it when I see it available for sale on NI's website... (and I don't mean pre-order). Sometimes actions speak louder than words...
