Hi All,

Just a note to say that the DXi 2 dev kit has just been uploaded to:
www.thedirectxfiles.com/developers.htm

New Capabilities in DXi 2
- Multiple audio output streams from a DXi
- MIDI output from an MFX or DXi, to the host
- Raw MIDI event processing (e.g. for MTC)
- Flexible, high-resolution time-conversion
- Per-channel patch, note, RPN and NRPN names
- Efficient processing of silent audio buffers
- Pitch marker access

Simplified Development
- Fully editable source code
- Single self-contained DLL (no more proxy DLL)
- Simpler DXi coding model

Thanks!

Looks like I'm a day late and a dollar short with the news. I must learn that Mr. Fenton is indeed everywhere at all times...!

Thanks David;)

This would mean wonderful things for developers. What about a wrapper so that us Cubase/Logic users can also make use of DXi?

Since just about every DXi is availible as VSTi I don't really see any programmer rushing out to do that.

yeah [Smile] and Yes I've been using SONAR since it first shipped, not a perfect product but certainly has the best combination of features/flow for the way I prefer to work.

I'm sure SONAR is a brilliant sequencer, but I prefer Massiva. Not only becuase I made it myself, but if I want a new funcion, I just add it. [Wink]

One of the benefit's of being a programmer [Smile]

If I find the time, I'll make SII PRO a DXi 2 synth as well.

still could be a good idea, Dreamstation, LiveSynthPro or Cyclone DXi's might be useful to some VST users
