Hi everyone!
I am currently stress testing the new Ganymed build 103 and if everything remains as stable as it seems, will soon release it! The new build features many enhancements, most importantly: - TWO 4-pole, 24dB resonant low-pass filters that can be controlled by any modulation source (of course)! - A much smoother voice stealing algorithm. You now can use Ganymed with one-voice-polyphony without fearing clicks'n'pops! - The new voice allocation supports the Orion host application! - Some small bugfixes, for example the "tempo" parameter of the sequencer is now correctly stored in the current sound! Since I haven't said it yet, thanks for making your great synths, and extra thanks for making them free!

Ganymed is great, I really like it, I have some problem in Orion, all notes are not played but maybe it's what you have changed.
It will also be a good thing if we can change the pitch bend range ;-) Thanks for this great synth anyway !

looking forward to that
I like Vivaldi as well do you plan to add a filter to it?

Yay, sounds great! Maybe you can do the same treatment to vivaldi when there is time.
*edit* It would be cool if the filter(s) could be disabled to save cpu in some cases, but you probobly already thought of this.. *edit*

quote:Hi pquenin, the problem in Orion that you mention will be gone in the next release. You can of course change the pitch bend range: In Vivaldi in the "Part" section. In Ganymed in the "Global" section. Have fun! Lighthouse

quote:Hi exp, I am indeed planning on updating Vivaldi as well. It will get the new voice allocation algorithm, but I'm not sure about the filters. And yes, you can switch the filters on / off. ;-) Best, Stefan [ 28 April 2002, 00:38: Message edited by: LighthouseAtDawn ]

quote:I'm not sure realmarco, as I would like to keep vivaldi lean. Vivaldi looks tiny but because of the multi-part feature it eats voices and CPU power like m&m's. Of course there could be a switch so that you can turn the filter off. But if filters are there, sound creators certainly will use them, so vivaldi would take even more CPU power. Lets see how many people will request filters for little vivaldi, too. [ 28 April 2002, 00:48: Message edited by: LighthouseAtDawn ]
