Great - amazing. The kits are stunning. Go fetch. Velocity response is a bit touchy here and there, but thats easily solved. Oh, and they eat ram like no other - got an xtra 256 meself just to cope wif 'em. But they are well worth the wonga. Period.

Can anyone compare them to Real Giga Drums? Both are created by Yellow Tools and I already have RGD. I don't want to invest in the Battery expansion if the sounds are the same.

I ws looking into these as well. How are they layed out? Are there multiple snare hits, center, edge, rim? That kind of thing
They seem like a good deal
I'm collecting eRoms for Sample Tank at the moment. I may go with the Interactive drum kits (Akai) and them into Battery. It would be nice to have anative stuff, however
You say the velocity is abit sensitive, but easy fixed. How? I use Battery all the time and must admit I use it as a sample play back. I guess I should realy dive in and mess with it

IE: the stereo kits have left and right hand hits and left and right hand mics on seperate pads. so... hit the snare and it triggers two pads, one for the L MIC, one for the R, panned L/R. It sounds great!
You have every accoustic snare you could need - rim, edge, side middle etc etc in the 10 chromatic snare kits. I tweak the velo sensitivity on my keyboard for live playing or just use cubases velo editor/MIDI compressor to get it in the sweet spot. |
