AuthorTopic: A new bank for N.I. FM7

Hello all,

Just for the fun of it, I have dumped the 128 factory presets from my old Yamaha TX81Z to N.I.'s FM7.

Some of the patches sound almost identical to the original...while some of them really don't... [Wink]

If you're interested, you can get the file for Mac or PC.

Hope you find something you like. [Smile]

Wow! Cool! Thanks!

I had a TX81Z in high school and early college. I can't say as I liked it all that much! I still didn't fundamentally understand the differences between FM and analog at that time. In the late 80s, everyone was ga-ga for digital synthesis, but all of the records I liked were made with analog synths! Imagine my frustration when I heard the clanky buzzing and snapping of my brand new TX81Z (controlled by a crappy Casio, no less!).

But *now*, NOW I am finally digging digital synthesis and really like the FM7, the Waldorf PPG, and the Reaktor digital synths.

I'll have to dig into these presets, for the nostalgia factor alone! Again, thanks.
