Hi Lighthouse
just to let you know that I haven't been able to use either the default bank or load the alternative one. All sounds are set to "init". I am using cubase vst 5.1 Eric

Hi Lighthouse,Just to let you know the new version of Ganymed hard crashed Orion on my PC.The Cpu meter keeps rising with every patch selected until it was maintaining 80% by the time I got to wooden perc. Then the system locked up.It seems like each patch is taking resources and not giving them back when the next patch is selected. It could be my system but I thought you would like to know. All other versions worked perfectly on my system. Thanks for the upgrade anyway. If it turns out just to be a problem with my setup I'll just go back to another version of Ganymed.Let me know if I can provide any other info. ![]()

quote:Hm... that's exactly what I use to develop. Strange, I have checked the code but can't find anything suspicious and on my system it works. But I don't have Logic 5.1. Could it be that Logic still loads an older version of Ganymed. Maybe you put it into the wrong VSTPlugins folder? That would be an explanation why you don't see a default bank and you can't load the new sound bank V08! Anyway, I'll continue to see if I can find anything that's wrong! Best, Lighthouse

quote:Sorry for that guys, that was a stupid bug in the new smart CPU optimization algorithm. Strangely it did't appear in the Cubase Demo I use for testing. Should've tested also with the OrionPro Demo...
It's fixed now and should work!

You were right, I had an older version of Ganymede in steinberg/cubase5/plugins. Sorry if I caused you any extra work. Some of the sounds are sensational by the way. A rough programming guide would be nice before you complete the manual. best wishes Eric

Hi,
the next release of Ganymed is there to download for free at my website: http://www.aerobig.net/ganymed.html There now is a default sound bank with 93 sounds. You should check out the cool techno / rave sounds made by GOVINDA (sound names starting with "g"), they rock!!!
Changes in v1.2 build 107: - Optimized for faster bank loading and saving - Optimized behaviour on program change while playing - Fixed filter cutoff modulation wrong at sample rates higher than 44 kHz - Added new low quality (preview) mode to save up to 50% CPU time - Added "smart CPU usage" optimization, bypassing unused parts of the algorithm - Added copy / paste / clear buttons to modulation sequencer - Added buttons for global program copy & paste - copy from one Ganymed and paste into another! - Added buttons for program renaming / program up / program down - Added default sound bank with 93 sounds - Comma now is accepted as decimal point in all numerical edit fields - Several other small corrections and enhancements Have fun, Lighthouse |
