I love Absynth, really. But how the fuck could NI leave out a function to save individual presets? How basic is that? And yeah, I know I can import individual presets from a bank, but then I have to save a whole bank every time and re-import from that bank in order to arrange/collect presets. Annoying...please improve this, NI. And while I'm at it, I also want save/load of presets, envelopes and effect settings. Hrmf.

I agree. Absynth sounds awesome and has heaps of controls but is really let down by it's user interface and patch handling. NI should have spent more time getting this one right.

OK, lets say you can save individual presets. When you want to use them, you still have to import them back into the bank you're using, same difference.
Have you been to the yahoo forum. Brian Clevenger hangs around there, talk to him.

I've seen a lot more flakey save interfaces than Absynth. In fact the simple save system was one reason I liked absynth - I hate losing sounds to a substandard GUI or accidental out-of-sequence click.
The only improvement I'd like is to be able to open up the preset lists like a normal folder and just drag and drop sounds between folders. Hmmmm... think I'll pop over to NI and suggest it

well,
it doesn't bother me one bit! don't forget the Store and Store To drop down menu that can be used as a Cut & Paste function. so what if there's only 1 patch in the whole bank you're saving??

Brian Clevenger wrote this by himself - It has been shareware for Mac only for more than 1 year. Brian teamed up with NI to get it out to the masses and help with the other (non VST) plug-in formats.
The UI is unique because it's made by a single individual. It's as unique and mysterious as the sounds it can produce. It could be better, sure - but I'd rather have multiple processor support than a pretty drag and drop program list. Bottom line, is there anything else in your studio that can sound like Absynth ??
