For whatever the reason Stephen Hummel the developer of Hummel And Wavelength Pulsar devices has decided to make all, yes all of his synths/fx donationware. these devices up untill now cost LOTS of $'s and they are now free to download
there are 15 synths and even more fx, some of the synths cost $249 plus untill today.

here is an image of just one..any thoughts about selling my pulsars have just gone.

enjoy....and as Stephen sais, dontations are welcome.

Yep, I could hardly believe it. I've often looked at his devices US$40 - $99. Now I've downloaded a few and if they're as good as I think then I'll have to make a donation ! Just having the DubSubII (superlow and distorted bass) for free is amazing. But all the other stuff as well ?!

I hope he hasn't had a seizure or something . . .

whoaaaaaaa!

[Big Grin] Now I can afford MiniMax!

(Though if MM is better than Pro One, it's the last synth I'll ever buy).

A *GREAT* gift! Super Excited Here!

I paid for the DrumVox awhile back, but I'll probably have to kick him some X-tra cash on principle. I hope this doesn't mean that Dr. Hummell is abandonding the platform (but best wishes to stephen regardless!).

Transfusion is fabulous and the FreakMod is INSANE.

Eat your heart out, VST-only users. [Razz] (sorry, had to say it!).

I believe in the power of CPU's *AND* DSP's

Wow!

I haven't got them all yet, but so far GeminiPD looks pretty amazing. Plastic and Avalon Euro just blew my head off and I needed to rush to bathroom after playing with dubsub v2.

I feel like all my synth wet dreams have come at once. [Big Grin]

Stephen is ok..

he sais the sales had been slow and was finding it hard to keep updating all these devs after each CW update.. so he decided to give them all away so at least pulsar users could get to use his devices.

Indeed this makes owning a pulsar even better
I for sure will be sending him some donations
after all not so long ago these devs would of coast upto 1000$ or more..

Respect to Stephen Hummel, he could of just pulled all this great stuff.

Arn't creamware pulsar cards not very powerful? I mean I read that they could only run one soft synth at around 6 voice polyphony at a time. This is pretty shit! Is it true?

I'm considering ivesting in a dsp card, you see. UAD-1 is currently top of the list.

Unfortunately yes !!! Crying or Very sad
The pulsar II has 6 DSPs and they are pretty fast consumed !
The survival kit is the Power Pulsar II at 15 DSPs but also at nearly 2500 $ Confused
These DSP cards are very nice but not for the not that rich .... Rolling Eyes

Trying to be more accurate ... on a Pulsar II
Maybe more than one synth with 6 voice at a time, it depends of the synth, well let's say 3 "small" or 2 "medium" ( in term of DSP consommation )
Well not really heaven Sad

you have vsti for that, how many polyphonic tracks would you want without drowning the whole thing ?

I for one use the pulsar for synth lines/fx, step sequences etc.
