Thx for the hints.
There are a lot of soundfonts there...thanks acoton.
The Jazzistic CDs seem to be very good, but too expensive for me at the moment. I think I have to wait some weeks Crying or Very sad
Acidman...udaman...eheh.
Mr.Tunes, I was thinking about 100 euros at the moment.
Cyas,
Michael.

Btw: how do I decompress freesoundZ exs24.sit files from http://www.esoundz.com/products_exs.htm
I think they are mac files. I tried with Aladin Stuffit but it seemed to be a too old version.
My working system is windows of course...

I think I have the acoustic bass sample you want (if you don't already have it).. It's a nice free one at http://www.echochamber.ch/

It will show like this:

doublebass1.ZIP doublebass2.ZIP doublebass3.ZIP doublebass4.ZIP doublebass5.ZIP doublebass6.ZIP doublebass7.ZIP doublebass8.ZIP

but it's actually one big file. Sounds excellent! All the other sounds on the site are of excellent quality too!

Other sites for free EXS samples include:
http://www.first-wave-music.de/downloads/f_downloadse.html
and
http://www.ontology.com/exs24/

There is also a user group for exs users at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/exs-users/

Have phun!

Hey AudioWhore, welcome to the group, nice first post! Just wondering before I download those bass samples, and anyone else who knows feel free to answer, but do the zips include the .wav files? Or is it just the EXS file? I'm not sure how it handles samples, and don't have it but would still like to make my own sampleset based on these. I'm just wondering if I'd be able to do that here?

Hi Hotbop, I'm windows also. Just get the newer version of Stuffit, it'll work fine.

As resonance said, the wave are also there (either .wav or .aiff I think).. I have already converted the bank to kontakt pretty well.. Anyway, I don't think I have a better acoustic bass in my collection..Sure I have bigger sounding ones (bassier) but this is certainly the most dynamic..

BTW, the stuffit proggie works fine for me too.

have phun phellaz.
