So,
I've been using Battery a lot recently (v1.01, the newest update), and I've come across what seems like a bug. If I'm using Battery VST in Cubase and I have a Song playing, when I click the "EDIT" button in Cubase's Inspector to open Battery's editor window, some of the cells in the kit will sometimes get spontaneously detuned. Not every time, just sometimes. I can't figure out how this is happening...maybe Battery is receiving MIDI data from somewhere, but I can't see how. And why should it always happen when I open the editor? Anybody have any ideas? (Cubase VST/32, Mac OS 9.2.2, G3/400.)

Can't really help, but I have had some similar problems with Battery. I have just about the same set-up as you, btw.
Cubase VST/32 iMac G3 600 Sometimes the cells seem to recieve info from other tracks and vice versa.. Battery was triggering VG on a different track which screwed up VG's timing. I ever did quite figure it out. I put Battery a side for a while... I just ordered Studio Drums, so battery will be back in the line up and I'll drop a note if I see anything. btw, Do you ever get multi-occurances in the inspector? Like two SampleTanks when you have one loaded, or double midi-numbers, or if you unload a VST it still appears in the inspector? I've posted about before, but never got a reply. A few over at Cubase, but no answers. You know I think I do remeber the detuning thing. I'll mes with it tomorow. What kit are you using?

It occurs to me that I don't usually set cells to receive on any particular MIDI channel - I just set Battery tracks to "Any". I wonder if setting specific MIDI channels might help...
No, none of those - although I do get Output and Instrument mixups, e.g. the Output will be set to Battery, but I'll get a list of Absynth programs, or whatever. Cubase quirks.
Just a home-made one. A few loops and various bits and pieces. |
