Are there any programs that makes looping wav's a bit easier?

Easier that what ?? What are you using (host, sampler and/or sample editor).

Depends on what you mean: working with exisiting WAV's and creating loops, or creating new loops from scratch?

As far as creating new loops for scratch, I've been finding AmbiLoop to be excellent for creating Frippertronics-style loops, and it's free:

The BEST is:

You looking for Zero-X Seamless Looper.

This is the same guy who made Fruity Beatslicer, Ez-Editor (which by the way has some looping abilities) and others...

I'm using MASSIVA and DS-404. I was thinking more of individual instruments.

Ah, so I'll take it you want to make better loop-points for the samples you want to use in the DS404 ?

In that case Zero-X is a good choice, or any full featured sample-editor like Sound Forge, Cooledit, etc. Those will let you set loop-points with ease and when you save your WAV-sample and use it inside DS404, the sampler will recognise the loop-points automatically.

Yep, good choices, all. Seamless Looper is a heck of a bargain, too. Plus, if you have difficulty finding good loop points, it has some automatic functions that will help.

As an aside, though I know you are not really looking for "beats" style stuff, I'll still mention that ZeroX's other sample editor, BeatCreator, exports ReCycle-style sliced beats that can be read by Massiva's audio tracks, allowing you to match tempos, rearrange beats, etcetera.

There is a bundle of BOTH that cost's less than a third of what Wavelab or Sound Forge cost.
