Just bought Battery (which is excellent!) but again, I would be interested in info about Synthetic Drums Smile The pack does look very nice though....

tunesy are you completley insane? battery schmattery!

DR-008 is where the action is at.

if you want to piss around like a schmaltzy nancy boy then by all means get battery but if you want to make REAL drums and i have a feeling you do then there is no other option than DR-008.

NI's Synthetic Drums are absolutely great. I use it with DR-008 (using the Battery import wizard) - no problemo.

Well, Battery is also excellent for programing real drums... Rolling Eyes In fact, any sampler with velocity layers is enough for this job... The programer just need some talent - that's all (and it's a lot!)

Anyway, as a Mac user, I'd like to try this DR-008 thing but FXpansion don't seem to give a fuck about the Mac market with this product...

Oh C'mon Splatta... should I say Splatta Schmatta?

Battery imports Akai, and it is going to have a larger 3rd party cooperation soon. For example, Sonic Reality will be added to the list alongside Yellow Tools, and this Synthetic Drums pack looks great. I don't know about many libraries for Dr-008 yet.

sorry, i realise i was silly to be so black and white in my opinions, but since ive been using DR-008 i have realised that real drums can be made with software... remember i am a drummer Smile so tunes or should i say schmoons no hard feelings and yes i should not write posts when drunk Very Happy

haha no worries splatt! I wasn't trying to be so hard on you since we are kvfriends Smile

I know Dr-008 is a very flexible drum machine, but i'm mainly looking for content since the whole reason i want battery is to avoid sampling the drummer i live with. That's really the last thing i want to deal with right now in my life

Got it here and I must say NI did a helluvajob on this one. Perfect extention of the content cd that comes with Battery itself. But then you don't know that one either, do you? Razz On the website are some demo's thay say more http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?syntheticdrums_us
No samples of the drummachine next door but creative kick ass kits Exclamation .
