I wonder why we don't hear much about BeatBurner
http://www.codeaudio.com/

I've been using it for quite a while and to me it is a sound mangling tool of genius.

It takes you to unexpected, interesting places. You can get effects that don't sound like anything else.

Maybe people want to sound like everybody else?

they told it was going to be released as a VSTi, but nothing else since then (I think it was before last summer...)

I wonder why the VST version hasn't materialized yet.

It could be that the designers imagined BeatBurner having a different role to play.

For example, is BeatBurner a synth or an effect?

Something similar happened with WaveWarp. The designers seemed to view its target audience as being engineers programming filters in MatCAD. (At least the most expensive version was the one that could read MatCad files. A bit unusual).

Well, I hope BeatBurner doesn't disappear from sight, since it can do things all of its own unlike the run oif the mill stuff.

Hello all you KVR people....

I do appologize for having disappeared for a while.

Thanks for your kind words regarding BeatBurner...

There is a VSTi version, and it is finished for PC and in further development for Mac...

It will be officially released at NAMM by GMedia as a boxed product (in January).

If you thought the standalone was good you will eat your socks when you hear the VSTi

Here is a taste which I have posted before (in case you missed it)
