No unfortunatly we in America must wait for our copies to come across on the Mayflower then cross the continent in Ox carts.I figure we'll get ours about the time 2.1 is available for download.I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Very Happy

Australia is in the same situation. I just bought issue 51 today.

Maybe you should start dumping the new issues over here with the next load of convicts.

No one's taking New Jersey anywhere unless they want a fight. And I'm in favor of keeping Ohio around as well, you get your own Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now if you want, I'd be completely willing to give you Brits back the rest of the United States excluding the East and West Coasts as well as Ohio and Illinios. It's a good deal and will come out to more land than you ever had here to begin with.

God, I know I've had Crystal for quite some time and never used it in anything (shame), but now I'm really excited about Crystal 2.0.

I'm determined to make that bastard one of the key synths of my arsenal. I've been waiting for quite a while for an extremely clever use of sf2 in a synth like this. It's so much better than using .wav samples.

I think I should really sit down and work out what synths are going to be my core ones...and then learn how to use the bastards. I've had VAZ for how long now and I'm still yet to use it in anything. Shame on me!

*sigh*

Laughing Laughing Laughing So true. I also hate the fact that nobody knows exactly when they expect the magazines to arrive! You would think they would be able to track this type of thing nowadays. Plus I live on the west coast which adds an extra 3000 miles to my Ox cart delivery service. Crying or Very sad

Ok enough whinning, both Crystal 1.0 and CM magazine are awsome. Cant wait for 2.0. Smile

the fact that it will be available in a couple months takes the sting out.

I hope you're aware of the fact that it's up to 1.5 now...?! Since 1.0, shitloads of things have been added, like MIDI CC automation through the matrix, more (and better organized) modulation targets, extra waveforms for each oscillator... Razz

Believe me, if you start playing with 1.5 now, you *might* be able to explore in detail maybe half of its current capabilities by the time your 2.0 arrives, even if it's 1-2 months from now... Shocked Laughing

1-2 months if I'm lucky! You're right, I'm barely scratching the surface of crystal 1.5. This thing is deep. By the time I push this thing to its limits there will be a crystal v3.5 Very Happy

Is that self-depracating Qld humour I sense? Very Happy

I would love issue 53. I want to actually see the ComputerMuzys tutorial in print. I might hunt around in a couple of other Newsagents and see if I can find some more current issues. I also need issue 50 because now I've got the DS404 but not all the patches that went with it.

If it makes you all feel any better, being in California, I'll probably be the last one to see the magazine (although I did have early access to the synth Smile).

Regarding the previous CM issue, number 53, that has an article that may be of interest to Crystal users. It's a tutorial that demonstrates how to make atmospheric patches.

Yes Glenn. I just managed to find myself Issue 53 today at huge expense and I noticed that article. Always happy to get tutorials on Crystal because it's so extensive and feature-packed that I need a tutorial to help get the message through my thick brain.

I'm hoping this will start one of those musical love affairs between myself and Crystal...with any luck. Laughing

Didn't think much of the pad created as part of the CM53 pad creation tutorial, but got a better appreciation for Crystal. Time to have some fun.
