I’m trying to categorize types of VSTi instruments just to see if I have a balance.

Type - Example
Sampler – GigaStudio/Kontakt
ROMpler – SonicSynth/SampleTank
Subtractive/VA – Pentagon I/Pro53
FM – FM7/DX10
Modular – Reaktor/Vaz
Complex – ABSynth/Crystal/z3ta
Modeling – Tassman
Emulative – B4/Lounge Lizzard
Drums ROMpler - Battery/DR008
Drums Synth - Attack/Element P
Loop Player - PhatMaticPro

So what types am I missing?

Edited for additions.

Honestly, Andy, I didn't miss it. There are just very, very few true additive things out there, and from what I see, the few that are are ensembles for the bigger modulars like SynC and Reaktor. I thought about making one in SynthEdit, but the CPU required to run, at a bare minimum, thirty-two oscillators per voice, then add complex envelopes for pitch and amplitude, well, you see my problem! I would dearly love to see a true additive plug-in, as I find the softsynth format to be the best for programming additive synthesis; big monitor screen, click and drag, you know.

Try categorising them in more than just one way; that way you'll maybe fill in gaps that you dont see by categorising them by synthesis type:

ie

Lead
Bass
Pad
Drums
Percussion
Effects

or even

Organ
Strings
Guitar
Drums
Wind
Brass

I edited the origional post to make some additions. Maybe I should have looked through my VSTi folder before doign the post. This is not a list of what I have, but an analysis of what areas may need to be filled to create a balanced collection. So far I have at least one synth for each type, even if some areas are filled by freebies or cheapies.
