[following all the recent chat on k-v-r about tb-303 vsti i thought id have a go ... but as usual with me something went odd along the way Rolling Eyes Very Happy ] ...

DIRTbox is a mutant monophonic bassline synth inspired by classic hardware like the tb-303 and its counterparts ... but its not intended as a clone of those old silver boxes... it borrows their central concepts and qualities [simplicity ... single oscilator ... fixed envelopes ... squelchy filter ... quirkiness] but doesnt try to be en exact emulation ... there are plenty of those around already ...

... in building this noisebox ive introduced some elements of the unpredictable / non-linear characteristics that make the old hardware boxes so appealing ... dont expect clinical precision or that tweaking one control wont affect other aspects of the sound [sometimes subtly ... sometimes not] ...

> single [synced-twin] oscilator ... choice of saw ... pulse .... sapu waveshapes ... detuneable
> tb-303 inspired 18db/oct lowpass filter with resonance and fixed adsr envelope [strength of envelope
effect is adjustable]
> standard analogue-style vca including adsr envelope with adjustable decay and volume control
> crude [intentionally so] distortion unit

... it WILL do your standard 303-type bass ... BUT it will also make some truly evil noise too Very Happy Cool Wink Cool Very Happy ...

... let me know what you think ... get it from ...

One small niggle: the tune slider...can you have a mark at the zero point? a kind of default/reset?
