Barcelona, Spain. December 19, 2002.

Soundart, the Spanish company that conceived, designed and manufactures
the Chameleon is proud to announce that the Chameleon has already four
different professional applications available for free and that many
more
are coming soon, most of them available also free of charge for
Chameleon
owners from the Soundart's web site.

With four powerful applications available for free, the Chameleon
already
offers without any doubt the best value for money ever in the audio
hardware industry.

The applications currently available are:

- Australis. A powerful and very musically sounding polyphonic and
multi-timbral analog synthesizer emulation.

- Chromasonic. A complete and versatile configurable multiFX processor.

- ReBorn. A virtual dance music machine with two analog TB bass
synthesizers and the two different TR drum machines (beta version
currently available, release version available in January 2003).

- FX Designer from SpinAudio. Fully configurable and very versatile
multi-delay FX processor. First VST plug-in ported to the Chameleon

version currently available, release version available in January
2003).

Thanks to the currently available and forthcoming applications the
Chameleon is an ideal device for the dance musicians and producers,
keyboardists, guitarists, home/project studios, and live musicians.

The Chameleon is the first audio device that combines the main
advantages
of the computers (programmability and multi-functionality) with the
main
advantages of the standalone equipment (reliability, transportability,
ease and speed of use) in the shape of an standard 1U rack unit.

The Chameleon is shipping. Its recommended retail price is Euro 795.00
(equivalent to approximately U.S.$ 795.00) plus applicable taxes. The
Chameleon can be purchased directly to the manufacturer at special
prices
in the Soundart's web site and it is shipped worldwide by DHL with an
average shipping leadtime of two days.

Soundart is the first Spanish company entering the realm of DSP based
hardware music and audio products design and manufacture. Soundart
designs, manufactures and markets its own products and also offers OEM

Now will this be an open system that any developer could create for, and how difficult would it be for developers to port VST plugs into this? Secondly could someone like Angus create a VST adapter for this that would simply allow for the hosting of VST plugs without having to deal with the developers porting the plugs to this system? Imagine how great that would be.
