AuthorTopic: A simple freebie to play REX2 files?
John Westwood
Posted: 23rd December 2002 11:28
Computer Music gave away all these free plugins a few months ago with Crystal, Delay Lama, Crazy Diamonds, and a Phatmatik 'lite' sample player. I never dealt with REX files before, and recently snagged a Future Music, and many samples on the ROM are in REX2 format. Alas Phatmatik is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine for me now. Anywhere I can snag a simple plug in to get the jist of what makes these REX2 samples/files so good?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!Smile

Good luck. Aparently Phatmatic Pro was supposed to originally be a Rex2 player, but the Propellorheads people have the spec about as closed as my neighborhood TG&Y.

I'm hoping CM with change over to giving away Acid format loops. That standard seems to be a bit more open. I use them in Sonar II and Phatmatic Pro more than in Acid.

TG&Y. Shocked We had one of those. I forgot about them.
