Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you...LookupScramblist v0.1:
![]() LookupScramblist-ens.sit (Mac) LookupScramblist-ens.zip (PC) What does it do? Imagine you're looking for a quirky new sound to sample, and boredom or desperation leads you to put a record on your turntable, and kind of nervously "judder" it about...back and forth, erratically...a bit like scratching, only more irregular (and with the turntable motor switched off). LookupScramblist basically emulates that, with any sample you load. Jesus, what's the point? Er...there's no point really. I just kind of like the sound – and I'm basically getting too lazy to walk all the way across the room, find an LP, walk all the way back, put it on the turntable, switch the turntable on, etc. etc. To hell with that. Computers are supposed to be labour-saving, aren't they? So, now I can get that same kind of judder-y noise with just a couple of mouse-clicks. (Also, I have vague plans to build something a bit more useful based on this idea. Call this a prototype...)

Thanks Man With No Pseudonym! Works fine on my Mac. Well, actually, sounds like that drunk uncle that always manages to sit next to you around the christmas table. Useful, in a kind of dribbling way.
