I'm having difficulty loading soundbanks for Synth 1 when I'm in Cubase. When I click "load bank" on the Synth 1 GUI and choose a bank of sounds, nothing loads! How does one do this? I love this synth but I need some friggin presets to play around with.
Thanks! geese | |

This is normal, since you have to copy the bank into one of the synth1/soundbank00 to Soundbank09 Folders...

Synth one is awsome. Just grab the presets and put them into one of the folders like Summa said. Theres a lot of good presets available for Synth1 too. Look for them in the Banks/Patches area.
Hay Summa.....Do you know if you can add more preset folders to Synth1?? Like Soundbank10, Soundbank11......etc?

Don't think so, since there are only 10 possible path settings in the Synth1 option menue...

You have to 'point' Synth1 to where the presets are stored for each bank I think. Via options.

Doing it the way you told me to (copy preset banks into Synth 1 sound banks) doesn't work either. When I try to load the bank in the Synth 1 GUI, it displays all the soundbanks but shows none of the presets that I copied within the bank. Still, I press open anyways, but nothing is loaded. What else am I missing here? This is a great synth with (from what I hear) great presets and I want to hear them. Thanks for your help on this matter.

Make sure that you don't have more than one synthone folder. I had the same problems due to the installer. Check in the root C folder in your programs folder. It may be that you have 2 copies installed.

Hi,
Once you have copied the banks into the Synth1 bank folder's, you then need to use the opt button to direct Synth1 to where each bank (0 > 9) is stored. Use the change button, under opt, to direct synth1 to them. In my case the general path is "bank #0 C\:Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\Synth1\Soundbank 00" You'll also need to direct Synth1 to each of the remaining banks, when you've done that you should then be able to select each bank from the bank button at the bottom of Synth1. (this makes sense to me but I have been drinking, hic , |
