Which VST would you recommend for someone wanting to learn sound synthesis from scratch ? I've downloaded a few of the freebies & demos, and some notes about synthesis, but don't know which to start with ?

Thanks & a happy New Year to all!

Thanks very much for the replies. Whether I'll manage to create any usable sounds or not is another matter, but I'd love to get to the stage where I could create the kind of sounds I want with one of the more powerful synths (dream on!!).
