Does anyone here know if the chainer app supports multiple vst outputs, or do all VSTi's loaded into Chainer come out on the same channel?
Also if it does support multiple outputs is that for each instance of each synth (i.e. one stereo pair per slot) or does it keep the number of outs specified in the VSTi (as in somehting like Kontakt having 8 outs still?). Many thanks 22

Hi,
No I'm afraid it doesn't support multiple outs. It does support multitimbral instruments though. Steve T

I hope the update will come soon, itīs time for that because there will be some new features as I was told by the developper.

Thanks for the info guys,
Still looks like a pretty cool little app. I could especially use it as I am still using 98se and Cubase V5 only supports 8 instruments at a time. (Of which 4 or 5 are generally taken up with Stylus percussion loops). Cheers 22 PPS Any ideas when the multi out update is likely to happen?

haven't needed to do this myself, but I think you can use additonal VSTIs in cubase by hooking them up as effects. a little odd I know, but just like on an analog console, inputs is inputs, and you use what you've got. |
