AuthorTopic: Chainer preset morphing

Hi folks,

I have been playing with Chainer a ton since I upgraded computers and got my license earlier today. I have just one question. If I am reading the help file correctly, the dropdown box for each slot should have the following

load
close
save as
insert inputs
instruments
effects
MIDI transmit channel
Randomize/Morph

My version (says 1.03) has all of the above except Randomize/Morph. I have "send to" before MIDI transmit channel (that seems to be for output routing). Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks

Hey prog-
The randomize/morph is in the Preset Lab. To get there, you load your instrument or effect, open up either the GUI or the Chainer control for said item and click on presets. You'll find it there.

It'd be cooler if there were a way to exclude particular settings... or to quantize continuous pitch controls to octaves Very Happy

Hey Foosnark,

Why don't you automate the parameters you want to exclude and then choose "randomise unautomated params" Wink

I tried that last night and it worked well for the couple of times I tried it.

Good idea Steve, I didn't really mess with it long enough to try that since I was mostly trying to get the SF2 export to work. I'll mess with that. Smile
