AuthorTopic: Best sampler to use as a Akai Rompler?

I have a lot of Akai disk that I would like to use as a rompler. I have tried Kontak, Halion and Exs24(VSTi) but neither suited my purposes. Kontak makes you manually load a sample before you can hear what it sound like. EXS24 is much better as it loads samples extremely quick problem is you can just hit the down arror to scroll thru samples you have to use the mouse to select the menu scroll down and click do that a couple hundred times and you will pay the the price. Halion is the easiest but you can only load groups of 128 at a time so if the sample cd has more then that you have to load and unload groups of samples.

I would use sampletank(1) but it only converts one sound at a time (what the hell is that eh) once it does then you have to manually load a filter and thier is no control over envelopes lfo etc..

Ultimately I would like to use my sample cds as easly as I used my old EMU Romplers turn the knob/hit the button new sound easy as that.

What do you guys recommend?
