AuthorTopic: atmogen 0.91 ready to download!

After redesigning atmogen, beta version 0.91 of our visual additive software synthesizer is available for download now. It is a slightly restricted demo version and will probably be the last public beta version.

In addition to many improvements down to the smallest detail, bugfixes and optimizations various new feature highlights have been implemented due to the many requests reaching us from the internet community. For instance, the current version is capable of exporting various sampling rates and bit depths. Furthermore, a tempo grid based on BPM has been included which lets you easily create rhythmical patterns. Special attention should also be spent on the further renewed marker handling which is now significantly more transparent and easier to work with.

Please keep us informed about any malfunctions by sending an email describing the malfunctions and bugs as detailed as possible. Use this email address set up for this specific purpose: bugreport@sonorouscodes.net. In order to evaluate your reports in the best possible way you should make as many declarations as you can. This relates mostly to your computer system and its installed components. Apart from the working operating system information about processor, main memory, sound card and drivers would be very helpful. We would like to thank you for your efforts in advance.

Best Regards

You already have a customer !!! Very Happy Love
Lot of fun with previous version but very CPU intensive !! ( 1 Ghz Athlon )
I have a question : will it be possible to import a .wav faithfully ?
Killer product !! Cool

This thing is really cool. Definitely worth experimenting with to see what I can get it to do Smile

Ah! I love Atmogen! One of my favorite sound design tools. Excellent resynthesis, and a pretty cool way to start from scratch, too. Nice work, Sascha. This is a great tool.

That's "additive" not "addictive". No wait, you may be right... Surprised

The atmogen synthesis product can not sound like the original wave file because of the image's limited resolution. But if you proceed with an large image and if you try some import settings you can achieve sounds that are really very close to the original wave file. The import feature is more to start from interesting results instead of starting from a new project. Check out the sample AGPs and you will notice that some sounds really sound like some of your sample library. I used the import method for several sounds (and most of the drum sounds) that are used within the sample MP3s. Hint: Use the blur filter (and the EQ) after importing the wave to avoid dirt and noise. Wish to have fun with the demo Smile

Thats one hell of a price point you're putting on this thing; £300 to £450 it looks like. Puts it in the realms of pro sound designers only. You intending to make a cut-down version available that the rest of us might be able to afford?
