Are ya familliar with the analog sequencer in Reason? Matrix, I think it's called. What would be the posibility of a VST plugin version of that, with the capability of "sub-loading" a VSTi or even a couple of them...? Now, I realize you could probably do something like that using the fruity loops VSTi, but I am not really that interested in using fruity as a plugin. What'ya think? Silly? Difficult? I sure would like one...

I did a quick and dirty MIDI plugin (StepSeq) for doing that kinda thing in Cubase... but Steinberg must have changed the MIDI routing configuration in later cubase/cubasis versions cos it no longer works properly So, depending which host you're running, my plug might work... It used to work in Cubasis 3.0r2, but after the r3 patch it doesn't work properly. http://www.smartelectronix.com/~dunk/SimpleMidiplugsPage.htm There's Jorgen's Energy (& Energy Pro) as well - it's got a built in step sequencer - much fun http://webmassiva.com/energy/ regards, dunk

Thanx for the link, Dunk!! I am going to load up your plugs (and those of your cohorts) right after this. As for Energy, I bought that as soon as it came out! You're right, it is great fun. Since it seems possible to make such a plugin as I was asking about, does anyone have any notion of how to go about it? How about you synthEDIT'ers? |
