I use Amplitube as my main rack to get effects on my guitar.
I can say it is a very versatile tool..I can get very different sounds. BUT. i often record different parts in cubase to get my songs going... I'd like to have 2 different sounds on my guitar for rhythm and solos... So I record the rhythmic part with one effect on amplitube.. Then I'd like to switch on another channel and be able to work independently on Amplitube again to get a different sound for my solos... I wonder if that is possible because at the moment when I change channel and I change effect It is directed on the other audio parts that use amplitube as well and is very annoying.. I wonder How should I go to solve the problem... I need 2 separate racks. Thats my aim. thx!! bye NiX

I'm not 100% sure but I seem to remember a collegue of mine saying he could only have 1 instance of Amplitube open or Cubase would crash.
Maybe you can only have 1 instance of Amplitube open at any one time? It's a bit poo if that is the case

you have to open amplitube to each channel you want to record as an "insert"..

hi,
you wont be able to find a product like amplitube these days. the only software alternative is amp-farm, running under the expensive pro-tools system. you can go for a second hand line6 pod, or you can try to decide and bounce your recorded tracks so you wont have to open a new instance of amplitube for each track you will record....

Well, there is ReValver. Just another Guitaramp simulator. It's OK.

Hi nrenda...
what you mean by 'bounce' my recorded tracks? thx!! you are most helpful.. NiX

What nrenda means nixis00 is record a guitar track with amplitube then in Cubase go to "export audio" this will then render the track to another track with the Amplitube effect applied to it permanantly so Amplitube is no longer needed for the track

You should also be able to automate program changes in cubase I believe
Izotope should be releasing "Trash" sometime this month. I was going to buy amplitube but held off when I heard about Trash. Check out http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/trash/index.html |
