Hi

Sorry for my english I m french, Sad

I have Cd with samples AKAI, my Kontakt software can read them but, Windows did not recognize the AKAI samples format. I would like to copy them from my hard disk to read them more easily. Do you know a software which recognize the format akai to convert the samples and to copy them from my hard disk.

In fact, it's a friend who have made for me several images disk of this akai cd. The clone cd image disk are good but windows did not recognize the format, so it's impossible to copy it from the hard disk (and kontakt can read this cd). When i burn the *.cue image I only see a cda file (audio cd). What's the problem?

Thank Help

A program called CDXtract reads AKAI CDs and can convert them to soundfonts and to wave files. Soundfont feature is very handy. That way you can convert a whole soundbank and play it with a soundfont player vsti of your choice...hope this helps

Hi Konlegurg,

The reason you can't copy your AKAI fromat disc to your hard drive is simply because of it's Format.

PC/MAC os will never recognise this as a readable format, the only way to get it to your HD is to allow HALion to convert them for you into its own readable native format.

Once you have converted it, HALion will place the Header Files and the .WAV files on your HD for you. You can then access them via HALion straight from disc. No need to buy any other Translation software!! Wink
