IMHO ABSynth has the best presets of any soft synth. Who did these presets? Some of them are amazing and are great to study. Any other soft sytns with presets close to this? I'm still searching. The only ting that comes close to me are some of the preset for the FM7 and the Vol 1 sounds for FM7. Does anyone have the extra sounds for ABSynth? Are they as good as the included presets or the FM7 Vol 1 Sounds?

I know Fitch has the extra sounds;I remember her posting a couple songs using them right after they came out.Maybe she'll say something.
A lot of the original presets were done by Brian Clevinger, the author of Absynth.I think John Lemenkuhl did some in the second (N.I.'s)factory preset bank.Besides those two,I'm not sure.

I like the extra sounds they are just as good as the presets that come with Absynth, but I really don't think it's worth the money. Confused

I've got the extra absynth sounds CD and it's great! It's a real worthwhile addition to the factory sound bank - lots of really useful patches (maybe even some of the best absynth banks I've heard Very Happy)

I just had a chance to go through all the new Absynth patches from their 'package'. The pads are AMAZING! I found them to be a lot better than what came with the program in the first place. The loops are well... loops. I don't really have a use for them. The basses are pretty deep, and nice. The rest I found wasn't so great, or at least not useful for my application. Is it worth $40? Well... I dunno. If you really have a use for pads, these things are simply AMAZING! The rest I could live without.

Exactly what I worry about. I don't need any of the other stuff. I use ABSynth for pads and pads alon. I have basses in other programs and I avoide programmed loops.

I'll get over to the user's group and check things out.

Thanks.
