ok, i receved phatfree on the CM magazine cd rom, installed it in my cubase 5.0 plug in folder, which resides on the HD of a G4 upgraded beige G3, with OS 8.6. ive mucked about with it 4 a few weeks and have been v pleased with the results so decided to purchase the full prgm, despite the problems others have seemingly had. i mean if the demo runs well then its usually a good indicator 4 buying right? well i bought the prgm online, received email download and installed into said plugin folder, ran cubase, tried to open ppro in instrmt list, and get message 'plugin failed to install'
i was sure this must be incompatibility problem so had a good read of pdf manual that came with prgm and their it says sys requirements OS9 and cubase 5.1. im peed off cos i looked on bitshift web page + their is no mention of these sys requirements, not until i had purchased and downloaded product. ive never come accross a product which only works on pre OSX and post OS9 software, ok i know sumones gonna tell me i should have upgraded ages ago, but i like to use a system that runs solidly and this setup has allways been reliable 4 my musikal needs, im not sumone who has to have all the latest stuff 4 the sake of it, 'if it aint broke dont fix it', is a term which i happen to agree highly with, anyway have registered on bitshifts forum, but still havent received authorisation to use the site after 3 days
yours absolutely gutted
ramer.
