i'd like to check out this free VSTi instrument, but the author has stopped the project and now there's no place to download it anymore. so, does anyone HAVE this plugin? i'd be really thankful for a chance to get it!

Only the author has the right to distribute his work. However have you checked out the freeware RMF drum machine from Linplug? I have the DS8 but never used it so I can't remember what features it might have that the RMF doesn't.I do own RMF'S big brother the RMIII but still find myself using the RMF once in a while.Check it out if you haven't already. EDIT:After reading your post I've gone and had a play with the DS8.It does seem to have more options than the RMF-more pads per kit. more layers per pad etc but it crashes in Orion for me when trying to load a wave file. That's probably why I never used it.Oh and welcome to KVR.

thanks for your reply. i know the LinPlug drum-VSTis, but i don't really like them because they seem to just don't do it without clicks and crackles in my setup.
anyway, the author DOES allow other people to distribute the DS8, that's what he's saying on his website! so, come on people, anyone can help me?

DS8 has some quite marvelous ideas, it would have been my nr.1 choice for a drum machine if it only worked. I have it somewhere @ home, but I really think it had a major bug - no sound output in Cubase.
Perhaps I should mail the developer, as this VST is/was really quite promising.

î think the plugin isn't that big, is it? so could you just send it to my email? that would be great!
