hey ik, I tried this new version at lunch and it wigged fruity out!
I tried the new version on a p3 667 and fruity loaded it fine, but when I tried to play a note, my hourglass kept going from the pointer to the hourglass.....and then my cpu jumped to 84 % do you think there is a denormal problem in this new version?

ik, thanks for dirtbag..
my deepest sympathy regarding your loss...

I thought that was deliberate! Just shows doesn't it? Thanks for Dirtbag once again ik Chi

"final" ... I mean, I can't really add more to it w/o increasing CPU usage. Now, it hits the 45% CPU mark sometimes on my Athlon XP, 1.4GHz. I afraid with further expansion, eventually it would became unusable. Don't forget ... its a SynthEdit creature. But I'll (try to) correct gliches, bugs, do minor modifications.... ik.

Mighty: I'm afraid it's not a denormal problem. This thing became an elephant with the latest features added. (See my prev post.) I can still run safely a "dual manual Hammond setup" with Chainer, but running two DirtBags parallel it uses 65% CPU on my system. I am not too surprised by the 84% on your P3. Any plan for an upgrade? ik.

im waiting on a new motherboard as we speak thanks, I will try it then on my new DAW

Isn't there a chance of the CPU consumption improvingn with development of SE itself? I've seen it hinted at. Either way we'd all love to see Dirtbag ported to C++, somebody help ik please??

Holy snappers ik! You just don't stop! So if you say this is the 'final version' - how can I tell you to 'keep up the good work'?

patchworkcat and Mighty: Actually I found a (the) glich: Knobs turned to min or max values don't necessarily have the expected values, but many times holds way out of range value, and this costs LOTS of cpu. In other words: TO ALL SE CREATORS: This costed lots of cpu in DirtBag: Now, the "dual manual Hammond setup" costs ~ 25% cpu with two DirtBags running parallel, instead of the previously noted 65%. (AthlonXP, 1.4GHz) The good news: I'll upload soon the corrected v 1.81. The bad news: You need to download it again.... ik.

And knowing the meaning of the small candle on it, itīs a very special VST-organ for me.

Istvan,
MidiSoftStick was the first thing I've ever downloaded from your page, and it gave me endless hours of fun and joy. DirtBag clearly follows the same tradition, and I'd venture to say it's the best Synthedit creation in terms of polished, high-class quality output that I've come across so far. Thank you very, very much for all the incredible work you've shared with us in the last couple of years!
