Ok. That "knob min/max" bug/glich is now fixed.
Its a lot more CPU friendly now, ranging 10-16% on my system,
and peaks up around 28-30% when pitchbend knob is used for modulation.

Get it here:

I would say so.
This is what I got on my system:
(AthlonXP, 1.4GHz; 256MB ram; Windows XP; Host: OrionPlat)
Preset: "Clean"
0 note ~ 6%
1 note ~ 10%
2 notes ~ 12%
3 notes ~ 15%
4 notes ~ 17%
5 notes ~ 20%
6 notes ~ 22%

It's much BETTER now for sure!Smile But, even on my P3 950 ASIO, I'm getting some 'snap crackle pops' still? But certainly not the painful dropouts ol' Dirtbag used to do on some patches. So kudos for the fantastic improvement! Very Happy Also, those patches are great too! I never imagined a plain old 'organ' could be made to sound so wild! (Unless you're in a band called StereoLab and have a distortion pedal! Laughing )

If you could ever produce this Dirtbag in 'machine code' ala Synth1 - you would be the king amongst kings here I swear! Very Happy And some coinage from a C++ machine wrangled version - where's your PayPal account number buddy? Sign me UP! Laughing

You are definately going in the right direction! Wink

Don't mean to teach my granny egg-sucking John but have you tried turning down some levels? There still seems to be a volume-type overload possible somewhere making that noise (rather than drop-outs).
Damn this machine is so powerful ! Surprised

I hear you PWC, and do usually lower levels waaaaay down when trying any new Plug In, and work up if needed. I'm pretty used to Dirtbag's 'level' and Orion's output. No, this problem is really the 'threshold' of ASIO I feel? Especially when playing those big 6 note chords on a big effected voice. Before it would literally sound like someone pulled the plug out of the wall on my laptop - nasty! Evil or Very Mad
But ik's really brought it around - just have to avoid playing those big suspended 7th's and sustains, etc.Wink

Couple of notes here:
-I tried to adjust the output level of each preset to a good "mid-range"
in Chainer. Any dropout most likely comes from "plain" processor overload. (This is not a problem for me because on my system I hardly hit the 30% mark even if I go complete nut with the effects.)

-I noticed that using Pitchbend for rotary slow/fast switch bumps the cpu usage big time! Exclamation Select cc01 or cc04 for rotary slow/fast, there is no extra cost of cpu if you're using these controllers, unlike using the Pitchbend knob! In the next release, I make cc01 for rotary slow/fast control for each preset as default.

-I've been working on an "effect mode" in DirtBag. This is nothing more
then a switch which turns off the tonewheels, and opens up Audio In.

So, for example, you could hook DirtBag after the B4, and pump through
B4's signal, DirtBag's distortion, rotary unit, delay, (even tremelo).
This seems to work well in Chainer, but couldn't get it to work in Orion yet.
Now, my question: Do you guys see any use of this or not?
Thanks for the feedbacks!

Sure! If Orion is to be getting this 'audio record' feature soon, I'd love to be able to pump my guitar through your your great effects! Even if Synapse screws Platinum 3'ers and comes out with Plat 4 w/audio - I can still strip a .wav into ver. 3 and use your effects on it that way.Wink

BTW - If I use my pitch bend on Dirtbag... Who pulled the plug? Cut's right out on me. But I will certainly reroute to other controllers for sure.Wink
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! (Just for good karma effect.Wink)

Oh no! Don't do that ik! I really don't want to plug my guitar into Dirtbag- or use it to freak out my Piano sounds -or my Samples!
Oh all right- you pulled my arm! *drools*
