Ah Pentagon. The true moo cow to program.

Rather than produce a whole range of patches - why don't you pull together a series of tutorials teaching people how to program the damn thing. Very Happy

Oooh Ooooh,Here's an idea for future patch fests. How about FX patches?Wouldn't it be nice to have a Freeverb(insert any FX plugin) patch for every occasion? One for snare, kick,Strings, piano, well you get the idea.OhmBoyz,MobileOhm,PredatOhm would also be great candidates(since I own them) Very Happy

crystal sounds like a great idea. We have SO many who have it and I even think it was ported to mac right?.....or no?
anyhow, I like this idea the best because some are not sure how to use crystal to its fullest, but its a great synth!!!!.....and free.
when should the cutoff be?. 4-16-03?

I've got a few custom Pentagon patches sitting around that I can donate to the cause.

Crystal'd be great with one restriction;no Soundfont patches, due to size and possible copyright hassles.

I've got an entire banks worth of Pentagon patches that I'd be willing to contribute the better one's from. I'm all for a P1 patch making fiasco!

Mighty, I'm actually trying to organise the bank so that the basses leads etc are all together for ease of use, and in the process trying to weed out the weaker or more samey patches but I'll definately post the bank when it's ready. I'll even pop it in bank "F" for Funky Rolling Eyes . I'm not sure how much use it will be as most of the presets will prolly be a bit too cheesey for most folks around here, but I just love those bright kind of silly leads and stuff.

Crystal?

Is this open for K-v-R users, or do I need some mighty recommendations or references as famous sound designer to contribute?

Can I send some sample patches somewhere for auditioning? How does this thing work?

Let me know if I can help out.

If you're new to Crystal patch editing, check out the tutorials on the User Guide page at http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/userguide.html . These are designed to get you started with Crystal.

If you have questions, I'd highly recommend joining the Crystal yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/crystal-users/join . That's a good place to ask questions and learn about Crystal.

Pakana, this is open to all.
when you make patches for it, send them to
mighty_hero@cox.net and I send all of them to Ben at the end of 4-24.
(I also test them)
Glenn, I will also email these to you as well, for your site.
Yes guys, who have not already joined the crystal board, it's a great site....so sign up Cool
let's go!
Very Happy

is Pentagon II compatible with Pentagon I, I only ask as Pentagon II came free with FM mag, and Pentagon I is a retail purchase, so I presume it has more stuff in - either way, it's great to see lots of people posting patches, the banks/patches area is one of the most underated parts of KVR, IMO.

eh - i would rather we do this for z3ta+ . . . but that's just me! Smile

Not that z3ta+ does not have enough presets - but it doesn't have enough USABLE presets, IMHO. Many of them are overdone. I would like some more standard VA patches (synth strings, sawtooth/portamento leads, smooth/simple pads, etc.). I have programmed a few like these that i could donate.

I think smart may be right. It might be a good idea to start a new thread. As it is, it's kind of hard to figure out what this thread is asking for.

hell I must have missed this thread reply from you sir Glenn Confused

that's what I get for going out of town Laughing
this effort did not produce anything except one bank, so I scrapped it early.
now if someone else wants to re start this group effort I am all in, but I am currently working on another project, so I am out to lead for now Sad
