hahah... klopt!

One note on Drumatic 2:
Watch out with the "bass" knob the bassdrum has.
When it's set to high values it can kill your speakers when "drive" is activated.

No, this version isn't compatible with version 1.
If you just copy the dll in to your VST plugin dir, it will not replace version 1. So you still will be able to use songs made with version 1.

Drumative v1 was so cool..... I'm definately going to try this one out!!

If v2 does eveything that v1 one does, but adds more features ... I think you're on to a winner!!

Forever,

Hmm. I'm getting crashes in Psycle. Also, crashes in Buzz (Polac VSTi) and in Aodix upon randomizing.

Was this put toegther with the same SE version as Invader? I don't have any trouble with Invader.

That's strange... Invader was made with the same version.
I also have this issue with Drumatic 1.

Maybe it's because of the "drum trigger" module.
I'll contact Jeff ( from Synth Edit ) about this... maybe he knows what it is Wink

Well, I hope the crash can get cleared up. I want to compliment you on the sound--just awesome.

Well, I tried it out. Here are a few points:

+ The added flexibility rules! That distortion on the kickdrum is simply awesome!!

+ More outs is pretty cool.... I generally don't use the extra outs, but I might one day...

- You fixed the hypersensitive velocity!!! That was so cool, because it made playing "live" feel so much more responsive!! Maybe you could add a switch to turn it on/off??

- Two kickdrums and two snares would be great. Two snares is not that much of an issue because the clap and rimshot are so flexible.... but two kickdrums would be great - that way I could have a tight/snappy kick and a deep booming kick without having to open another instance...

- The CPU usage is pretty high, but hey - the best just got better!

Does D2 respond to MIDI CC's??

I'll definately be using this in the future!!

Forever,

Hmm... maybe I will. I have to make some room for that in the interface then Sad

Adding more sounds will also increase the CPU...
On my computer, the CPU of version 2 is exactly the same as version 1.
I have a 2.8ghz PC so it's a little hard to see. Very Happy

It's the first release of v2... so I will make updates when i can improve it.

Yes... All controllers have MIDI CC's.
I'll make a map for it when i got the time.

Works in Psycle only through Chainer. Perhaps it's the multiple outs? Any way you could make a single-out version?

Crashes even in Chainer after awhile in the preset lab when randomizing or morphing patches.

I've send an email to Jeff about this.
For now just don't use the randomize or morph option Wink

I could do that... but I hate having multiple versions of 1 synth.
This issue seems to be a problem in the host.

Could be a host problem, but Psycle plays my other hundred or two VSTis fine. For now, I'll just use Chainer to run it in Psycle.

Again, my compliments on the great sound!

The random thing is a real bother. I hope Jeff can track the problem. Nothing beats changing the drums while the song is playing to get something new and surprising. I do it with ErsDrums all the time. It's hard for me to lay off the randomize. :-> I have no self-control.

Thanks again for great plugs!

Hope so too. I want drumatic to be the most usefull free drum synth VSTi.
I use it myself Smile and I think it's usefull as it goes in every track I make... but then again, my music is weird Very Happy

I'm only complaining because I love it so much. I've done the same sort of whining with Dirtbag--another top SE VSTi.

mistertoast or any other Psycle, Chainer users:

Do you want to test something for me?
I've made a real simple VSTi that uses the module I suspect to cause the crash with the randomize option.
Can you test this test-plugin for me in Psycle or Chainer?
If this one crashes I can send it to Jeff so he can look at it...

Just send me an email...

Can't believe I missed this thread until now. Just downloaded Drumatic 2, and it's superb - love the bass drum sound even more than version 1. Cracking CPU usage too. Many many thanks for a great free synth.

Hi,

I got this message from Jeff from SE about the randomize crash in Psycle:

"That's fixed now, avail in next beta. The problem related to the drum trigger
and VST host automation."

So it was the drumtrigger module! Very Happy
I'll update Drumatic when the beta is available.
