AuthorTopic: Analog Emulation Help for a Beginner

Hello all,

I've been dabbling in synthesizers for a few months but I'm still not good at duplicating specific sounds.

I'm trying to emulate a lead used by OMD on their 1983 album Architecture and Morality. There's a buzziness here that suggests a saw, but also something very 'harmonically rich' about it, for lack of a better term. I've tried some audio range PWM in my own attempts, which gains me some extra harmonics, but usually a bunch of messy noise as well.

The OMD sound is here: http://134.173.88.91/PNF:toBinhex:/OMD.mp3

Much thanks for any help!

Aslan

Hello all,

Sorry the link's not working very well.

This is the master directory. The OMD sound is right at the top.
