AuthorTopic: Graphic designer wanted

Hi,

Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this message, but none of the forums seemed to be quite right. I am the developer of CamelPhat (www.camelaudio.com), and I am looking for a graphic designer to work on future projects. The work would of course be paid.

If you have designed the interface for at least one intrument or effect, and you believe the quality of the interfaces you have designed are as good as those of Native Instruments, then please contact me. Send an email to me at ben<at>camelaudio<dot>com, with a list of the products interfaces you have designed and URLs where I can go to see your work. Please do not attatch large files. Could you also give an indication of how much you would charge to develop an interface which is of about the same complexity as FM7, and with at least as much graphical finesse.

Thanks very much,
Ben

I'm a graphics guy...

I haven't worked on any interfaces, (I work mainly in print media...CD covers and stuff...) but it looks like a cakewalk...

Oh. I'll work for product...

ive mailed you ben - but would question you holding up fm7 as an example of great interface design - sure its good but it doesnt actually look that great imho - it also partially adheres to the 'copying hardware' paradigm which holds a lot of vsti design back

id say look at z3ta+ or ozone2 or trash if you want an example of cutting edge gui design

Hi eXpeRIMentFOUR,

Your stuff looks great. Regarding FM7 not being the greatest UI - I agree. I was refering to it mainly because the complexity is similar to that required for our next project.

Thanks
Ben

hey ben

you may want to look into other communities online too..

go check out some of the winamp developers... some of their skins are phenomenal!!

I figure if they can design something as complex as a complete winamp skin, they should be able to design skins for audio software too...

just a thought!

I'm looking forward to the Camelaudio synth regardless of how it looks. Mind you, if it were to look like FM-7 it just wouldn't seem right...

How long will I have to wait to hear samples?

Hi Pough,

Thanks for your interest regarding future CamelAudio products. At the moment I'm staying quiet about exactly when and what the next product is going to be. One thing I can guarantee is that its going to be cool Smile

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

I would be interested in doing some GUIs for your upcoming projects. I have created 2 GUIs, one for the StudioVerb VST and DMI's Hammer.

I have just sent you an email containing samples of my GUI designs.

Cheers.

Hi,

Thanks very much to everyone who's emailed me links to their stuff. I must say I am very impressed with the quality of the UIs that I've seen. I've also seen some really great art (such as yours Oblagon - like the pencil UI design too). Apologies if I don't manage to email everyone individually (trying to get as much coding done as possible).

Thanks
Ben
