Vectis..
available at http://www.ianweb.dial.pipex.com Unusual and initially confusing synth. Four oscillators which are crossmixed using a variety of waveforms and harmonically swept (in semi-tone steps). Further confusion is added by the ring mod and FM sections. This synth delivers unpredictable and constantly changing sound. Persevere with it and you might be pleased with the results ![]()

I love it. I'm always looking for unusual and unique sounds. I've used synthedit to make such things, but yours is better than anything I've made....!

Thanks Ian! Confusing at first, like you say, but after an hour or so I got some pretty cool short lead sounds

..well it is in the same family of synths as MaTricks and Primary but importantly I chose to not have it syncing to the host tempo unlike the two aforementioned synths. The thing that suprises me with this one is that some of its pallette of sounds are quite 'natural'. I think that this is caused by the combination of constantly changing timbres and the FM/RM combination. I was hoping to replace RGB with a newer version (i've already tried out some unusual interface ideas) and so I may take these ideas a bit further as the organic sounds were what RGB was supposed to be about.. Hope you enjoy it John.. but as I said its a bit of a b*gg*r to get into. I could promise to write a tutorial but I probably wouldn't finish it so... ATB Ian

Naw, I don't think turorials are needed? As long as you have a good array of presets, and all the controllers move - we'll figure it out I'm sure. And not to sound like Dr. Johnny Fever - but you can't say bugger here?

..The synthesizer which generates estimate impossible sound. Four oscillographs output being possible to do the harmonic スウィープ setting which is indicated with the ripple mark and the keyboard administering FM processing and filter processing etc. the occasion where finally it mixes.... ...no makes of sort sence any to me!! No, no - not me boss! I'm just the piano man! If it goes beyond VCO, VCF, and VCA (and sometimes 'Y') I'm totally lost myself. Doesn't take much to blow my mind obviously.

May I say that this beast is one of your best! I used it right away on a new song. Very useful and some kind of new.
Ian you should make more in this direction, please. ~ ingo |
